At Yaeger Self Defense of America we teach adults real life self defense and martial arts. Our classes help you build strength, confidence, and focus. You will learn moves that work on the street and in a safe studio. You do not need any prior skill or uniform on your first day. Our classes are led by Grand Master Chris Yaeger and his team, backed by Pasadena Police Department and SWAT Team. Call 281-479-3880 to set up your free first visit in Seabrook, TX.
What makes our classes stand out
Our martial arts blend seven styles into one system called YFS. We mix good old school values with modern training. This helps you learn real defense skills for today. You will train in blocks, strikes, kicks, and sparring drills with a buddy system to keep things friendly. You also learn how to spot danger and calm it with assertive talk. Our classes run from 5:30 pm to 9:15 pm on weekdays. On weekends we host fun events like tournaments, special sessions, and seminars.
Your first class
When you arrive, a coach will greet you and give a quick tour. You will see adults from Clear Lake Shores to Kemah training side by side. We start with easy warm ups and stretch moves. Then you learn a basic stance and block. You partner up and try drills at your own pace. If you need a break, just step back and rest. After class you will feel proud you tried something new. You can ask questions any time and get personal tips.
A quick story
John lives near Shoreacres. He felt tired after work and worried he was too old to learn a new skill. One evening, he walked into our studio and met a group of adults just like him. By the end of class, John could land a safe block and punch drill with a buddy. He felt proud. Now he trains two times a week. He says the classes help him feel safe, clear his mind, and make new friends.
Common concerns and tips
Many adults worry if they can keep up. Tip one: start slow and focus on form. Tip two: drink water and stretch before class. Tip three: wear loose clothing so you can move. Tip four: let the coach know about any health issues or past injuries. Tip five: use the buddy system in drills for support and safety. Over time you will feel less sore and gain more strength and confidence.
What you will learn
Our adult program focuses on practical self defense, fitness, and situational awareness. You will learn how to block strikes, safely break free from grabs, and deliver controlled kicks.
