Stranger Danger Awareness Program

Part of Our Youth Martial Arts Curriculum

At Self Defense America, we believe martial arts is more than just physical training—it’s about preparing kids to stay safe, confident, and aware in the real world. One of the key components of our Youth Martial Arts Classes is our Stranger Danger and Anti-Bullying Program, taught through interactive discussions during our mat chats.

What Your Child Will Learn:

In our Stranger Danger program, your child will gain practical safety tools and street-smart awareness, including:

  • How to Identify a Stranger:
Understanding the difference between a stranger and a trusted adult, and recognizing potential risks in various situations.

  • How to React to a Stranger:
Your child will learn how to maintain a safe distance, speak confidently, and take immediate action when approached by someone they don’t know.

  • What to Do if a Stranger Tries to Take Them:
We teach proven self-defense techniques, verbal cues, and physical responses designed specifically for children in high-risk scenarios.

  • How to Use a Secret Password:
This safety tool empowers your child to verify if someone has permission to pick them up, ensuring they stay protected even when you're not around.

These are just a few highlights of a program designed to give your child the confidence, awareness, and voice they need to navigate the world safely.

Integrated with Anti- Bullying Education

Stranger Danger training goes hand-in-hand with our Anti-Bullying curriculum, also delivered through mat chats. We empower students to recognize, respond to, and report bullying behavior—whether it's happening to them or someone else.

Take Action:

Enroll your child in our Youth Martial Arts Classes today and give them the tools to grow stronger, safer, and more confident—both on and off the mat.
